When a baby is born a connection is made instantly between the baby and her parents. Nothing shows the connection more then when I start fussing with the baby and try to put her at ease and BOTH parents come to my side and start fussing right along side of me. I love to watch them interact with their baby and watch their baby respond to them. If babies could talk at this age they would get the whole world handed to them right this minute.

Baby Pauline may you always know how much LOVE your parents hold for you, may you always be the sparkle in your daddy's eyes. ( I noticed it while he was trying to make you stop crying), you hold both your parents hearts in the palm of your little hand, and with your beautiful name I know you hold the hearts of your namesakes family as well..

What a beautiful family, kids were troopers coming out in the cold, to satisfy the wants of the MOTHER who swore snow, rain, freezing temperatures she was going to get her family photos done.. They had never had one done, and she was bound and determine to make it happen on that day.. Even after I called her to tell her it was freezing outside, should we change to a INDOOR location, she said its fine its not that cold.. LOL.. Nothing comes between a MOM and getting photos done when its already implanted in her mind that its gonna happen THAT DAY..

I love watching families grow, I remember when this family had just the one son, he was my dads best friend.. Yes the son.. Sooo cute, and now look he has grown to be a great kid (no matter what the other siblings said.. lol)..

Lokotui family thanks for allowing me to capture you first REAL family photos, it was fun, thanks for putting up with my begging on how the faster we all smile the faster we can all go back in the car. Thanks for putting up with a MOM on a mission and a photography who couldnt decide exactly which way to pose everyone..

It was great meeting this beautiful couple for both their invitation shoot and their wedding day shoot, it been awhile since I took the invitation shoot but I don't like to post those until after the wedding day.

I love shooting a wedding where the couple can make each other laugh just by looking at each other, you feel like there is a little secret that only the two of them share. My oldest daughter dances for a group called Mohekonokono.. A Polynesian production. They are local here to Utah. I love watching my daughter dance and could watch her and her group dance for hours I love the fact that they are learning just how beautiful it is to BE Polynesian, I love watching her perform in front of people, watching all eyes on her and watching her hold their attention, she has grown up to be such a beautiful young women..

Here are a few shots from our PRACTICE shoot that I held with my daughter and niece, hope you like them. There are more to come..

Meet the Kula family of Herriman.. I met up with them for a quick photo shoot and I mean quick. I haven't seen the father of this family for some time, I've known him for as long as I can remember, we grew up next door to each other infact most of my childhood memories include him and some "STUFF" he did as a child.. lol.. (but thats a whole different POST..) Oh we laughed during most of this photo shoot reminiscing and laughing and then reminiscing some more. Mr Kula (I guess I can call you that know because your not the little boy from next door anymore lol) you have a beautiful family, I guess we (Me, Emeline, Melanie, Driza and Christina) we GREAT examples to you.. haha haha..

So this photo just goes to show how FUNNY I am.. He would NOT smile during the shoot, once I turned on my charming personality.. lol.. it was done, his laughing was contagious.. Yes everyone I'm that good.. lol.. Dont believe HIS version I DID NOT threaten him.. lol

Meet Baby Paul Soliai Jr truly a "Gift from God".

I like to watch people when I go on shoots and especially baby shoots, Mom was so nervous she and her sisters (oh the sisters require a whole different post just for them .. lol) went shopping for clothes, props and even googled different poses and different ways to take baby photos and had a million and one different ideas of what to do. I love when my clients are ready and know what they want. Dad on the other hand is still in the "Am I gonna drop him stage, because he is so little." but when dad held him you could see his whole heart was wrapped up in that little blanket, he could do NO wrong. After all that preparation what do we get a SLEEPY, DON'T TOUCH ME, DON'T MOVE ME, FEED ME, NO I WONT OPEN MY EYES mood.. What else really are we to expect. This baby has it all, 3 mamma's 1 grandma (oh and dont mess with the grandma, every time baby Paul cried she threatened all of us, and yes including me.. lol). When it was all said and done and all the threats and laughs (Thanks Bev for being a good sport.. lol) were done we could only get the poses that Baby Paul would let us.. After all HE IS THE BOSS OF US.. ha ha ha

Soliai family thanks for allowing me to capture your babies first photos, I'm so excited to watch you both grow in a different way that parenthood can only take you. You have both been blessed with him and he will change things up (trust me.). I can already see he holds you both in the palm of his hands. May the Lord guide your family as you learn to become great parents I see you both are already off to a great start..

UPDATE: A huge SHOUT OUT goes to Jr Patane for finally taking control of this baby (trust me this baby is spoiled beyond your belief.. lol) and having him give me the poses and the shots that will make a household name.. I'm saving those shots for the baby announcements.. ALL HAIL JR..

I had a great time with Fita, it's been so long since I've hung out with her.. She use to be one of the Young Women in my ward. There I go again dating myself.. It's nice to see them all grown up and having a family of their own.

Fita shares a special bond with her son, (I know every mother does lol), she shows patience and understanding, Moana is at the age of A LOT of questions, you know the "whats that?" and the"how come?" and I see Fita answering every single one of them. She loves him with all her heart I can see that in the way she treats, talks and spoils him..

Thank you Fita for allowing me to capture your HERE AND NOW moments with your son, trust me they pass to quickly so cherish EVERY SINGLE question he asks..

A family with one heart.... (or should I say 2)

Have you ever met a family for the first time and for some reason felt like you have known them your whole life, that's how I felt with this family.

The jokes were rolling on both sides and the laughs, lets just say I think everyone at the park thought we were ALL crazy. (yes I said ALL not just ME.. lol)

There is a connection between them that I sensed the moment we started shooting like they all had some inside joke or some special moment that only they share, I could see it in their eyes when they were all laughing at and with each other, they all looked around at each other just to make sure everyone was laughing together.. (lets not forget I'm waaaay funny.. lol..)
The reason for the TITLE.. I have never seen 2 more loved children by a WHOLE family, not just the parents but the WHOLE family .. ( I wont mention the kitty kat song.. however WOW is what I will say about it.. ) The whole family wanted to hold them, sing to them play with them but more importantly LOVE them.. I think I just figured out the secret.. LOVE... Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys today, you all rocked the camera.. ( I seen the "ROCK the camera" statement somewhere and thought I would try it.. lol. ) ENJOY..

Ohhhh if I could only control the weather.. I WISH I OWNED A WEATHER WAND...

Meet the Leakehe family... This was suppose to be a BIGGER VAENUKU family photo shoot but weather did not permit that. We had been praying and waiting for the weather to clear up and thought around 3pm we would still give it a go because it had cleared up and the sun had started peeking through, so we decided to meet at 5pm at our location, I arrived at 4pm and it still looked good, so I waited right around 5pm rain clouds got darker I snuck this family in real quick for some shots and then it started to really rain.. After an hour of waiting we called it off, and had to reschedule.. Hopefully these family photos keeps everyone excited for the REAL family photo shoot..

Thanks Again Nata for being patient.. Cant wait for the real one..

Granger High School.. Class of 2011.. Lati Valele

Lati is a senior at Granger High School home of the Lancers.. (Don't worry K-town I represented!! If that's even how you say that phrase, my kids would die if they read this.. lol..)

After waiting on a mistake on the first apt, we were both at the same park on different ends waiting for each other after an hour of waiting we both left, called each other and realized we were on different ends.. (that was the short part of a long story.. lol) we finally met, what a beautiful young women so full of life and so ready to be out of high school.. Weren't we all? lol..

Lati will be attending LDS Business College after graduation and is ready for all the hard work it takes to go to that school, she really seems to have her head on right..

Lati congratulations on your upcoming graduation, your sooooo ready to take on the world..

Lesson Learned from this Photo shoot: When you are posing your subject and one of the sticks on the ground starts moving... Ummmmm RUN, its not a STICK and scream "SNAKE< SNAKE< SNAKE"... lol.. Your a good sport Lati..

Finally a photo shoot after my own heart.. (Yes I went to Kearns.. lol).

Lehua is a senior at Kearns High School home of the Cougars, but don't let that be the only title she holds, she is also a Cheerleader (one of the most spirited ones at that) and she is one of the SBO's, she loves Kearns High and everything that has to do with it, she loves the teachers, the students, the spirit there she just loves KEARNS.. Really who could blame her.. ha ha..

Lehua plans on attending UVU after graduation and from there I think she said she was going to rule the world.. LOL.. She really didn't say that but when you spend some time with her you start to think she could one day..

Lehua congratulations on your graduation. Always remember that this is just the beginning of your life and no matter where you go and or end up in life, Kearns will always have a place in your heart.. ( So I'm a little one sided on this Kearns thing.. haha haha)

This beautiful young women Cecilia is a senior at Granger High School home of the Lancers, (yes I wore a Kearns High sweatshirt during this shoot.. lol life long rivals.. ) When I first told some friends I was going have a photo session with this young lady, all I heard back was "Oh she's really pretty" or "Oh she's beautiful", I had never met her so I was actually excited to see her after all the compliments.. Needless to say she did not disappoint.. Wow they weren't exaggerating, she's is so beautiful. Add to that a great personality and she plays sports, basketball to be exact, point guard and shooting guard if your wondering.. Cecilia will be continuing on with her education she is planning on playing ball for a JC college which one she's going to surprise us..

Cecilia thank you so much for allowing me to take your senior photos, your such a beautiful girl and I totally can see you on a billboard or in a magazine that's how HOT you are.. lol..

Meet the Mounga Family

Have you ever met a family that if you were to close your eyes you would think you were standing in the middle of your own family.. That's the feeling I have with this family.. Meet the Mounga family. This family shoot was so much fun, the boys act just like my boys which depending on which kid it is it could be a good or a bad thing.. lol.. The parents are the perfect example of how to be, they love their children, their life is their children, they support them 100% in whatever the kids choose to do and they support each other 100%.. I love it.. The feeling you get with this family is one of "togetherness". During our shoot the kids were perfect, smiled on demand, stood where they were asked to stand, right when our shoot was done they went straight to wrestling and trying to make the other one cry.. Yep just like HOME for me.. lol..

Maile and Sueli I cant express how grateful I am that your family has come into my family's life. Its hard to find friends where we connect on almost every level.. Thank you so much for all you do for our family and especially for loving my boys when they crash at your house (and eat everything there.) you both are truly who I want to be like when I grow up.. haha haha..

I love to photograph seniors especially when they are my nephews.. Kiki is an athlete, but not just an athlete he's one of those type of athletes that can pick up ANY sport and play anything and master it.. I mean master it so when he's done you will think he's been playing that sport his whole life.. Kiki is the 2nd oldest and is very mature for his age, he understands the meaning of responsibility and is always helping with his younger siblings, his momma raised him right.. Kiki plans on furthering his education (not sure yet on which college though..) and then will serve an LDS mission when he turns 19yrs old.. After that he says he's not sure so we'll see.. lol..

Kiki thanks for allowing me take your senior photos ( I know you had NO CHOICE..), I already know there are BIG things in your future and I'm excited to watch you grow into adulthood and make your mark in this world.. Congratulations Kiki, hey if anything you def. could be a model.. so handsome..

I had such a fun time with Lilian and her mother, I love seeing great mother/daughter relationships its just nice to see how they make each other laugh and the way they smile at each other.. Its great.

Lilian is down for anything and I loved it, anything I asked her to do for a shot she was up for it.. Lilian is a bit of a tomboy, she wanted to jump off trees, swing from one to another I told her I wasn't that kind of photographer and we both laughed. I found an UNDER CONSTRUCTION house and wanted a shot in the window seal that still barely stood, she jumped on bricks and the old roof which laid on the ground now just to get to it.. And it was a great shot, we found an old door and took some of her in the frame of it and I told her I wanted the old door, she laughed and yelled "Mom back up the van lets take the door." I laughed and said "My husband would come back and grab it." before I knew it the van was backed up and we loaded the door, now that I've confessed to lifting an old door from a old broken down house I'll be waiting for the police to show up to my door.. lol..

Lilian thanks for hanging out with me, and congratulations on your upcoming graduation.. After graduation the sky will be the limit..

I'm sad to say I've known this senior from birth, yes I admit it BIRTH (totally just dated my self). I can not believe how much he has grown and what a gentlemen he has turned out to be. He greets you with a smile and is always polite when asked to do things.. Tevita has come a long way and has accomplished so much in his life and is beginning to see that his talents and his attitude can take him everywhere. But when you talk with him you can honestly tell FAMILY is first with him, and he understands why. Vita ( is what he goes by) is the oldest out of 9 kids he knows little eyes are watching him..

Tevita I cant wait to see you in action at the University level, your talents will carry you far in life but your great attitude will take you the rest of the way. Can I just tell you I lalalalala LOVE this family.. The good looking momma is my sister/cousin you know everyone has one of those, the cousin that really is a sister, well when your from a family as big as mines you have lots of cousins and some are sister/cousins.. I was honored when she called me up and asked for family photos because finally everyone was home for the weekend. I was more then happy to oblige..

This family was so much fun to photograph, the jokes were funny the loving threats were even funnier (inside joke.. lol). Even though the parents are divorced they have a great relationship and are always together when it comes to the kids... This photograph was the request of the children for an actual family photo.. Jarrett Taumalolo is a senior at Mountain View High School home of the Bruins.. Jarrett has a big heart and has always cared about the people he loves, I could tell this the first time I met him, very polite and always asking auntie Alisi what she thinks.. (why can't I have a son like this.. lol)

He has played baseball and football his whole life, but has chosen to focus on his education after he graduates from high school, (again why? lol..) he will attend UVU, and its only up for him from there.. Through all of his challenges he has accomplished a lot, and has always made his family proud.

Salesi plays baseball for Orem High School, and when he's not being cool on the baseball field he likes to hang out with his friends and family.. Salesi bowls every Wednesday ( I wanna sing that song from Grease 2, you know the one "Lets boooowl tonight.." Ok maybe not your time.. lol..) and also is an outdoors kid he likes to camp. So basically he's your typical ALL AMERICAN boy..

He has a great outlook on life, and a great personality to go along with it, whatever life throws at him he knows he'll be just fine. (wish I knew that at his age.. lol). Salesi will be attending Dixie College in St. George, Ut after he graduates, don't worry I know what your thinking good looking kid in a college town.. Ohhhh his momma has other plans, she's already hooked him up with a job to work on the weekends.. Gotta love it, MOMMA knows best.. lol..

Salesi is the youngest son of Alisi Havili, and he loves his MOM very much.. (She made me put that.. lol)

Have you ever met a family where everyone was nice.. This family is that family to me.. Their oldest son has been called to serve a mission for the LDS church and has left for 2 yrs to serve the Lord so the mom contacted me about family photos. I of course was honored, this family is that family in our neighborhood that is always there to help anyone at anytime no questions asked and with a smile.

Thank you all for being such an example to us, I know there is a place in Heaven for you all, please pray I get there.. lol..

The Mataele Family

When I was first contacted by Sasha, the mother of this beautiful family, her text wrote "Hi LoyAnn, I've seen all your pictures and you pass the test, wondering if you could schedule my family for some pictures." I couldn't help but laugh, I was laughing because I was glad I'd passed someone test.. lol.. Thanks for the compliment Sasha it really really means a lot..
After 2 weather cancellations.. I am happy to finally say... Meet the Mataele family... They are such a young, beautiful family and they were a joy to photograph. The baby (and the parents) endured the cold to get through this photo shoot (the mom really needed them for Christmas gifts.) I love to photograph new families they are in their growing stages with each other and with being a parent, so they always look to each other with a "Am I doing this right" type of look.. Lona & Sasha may you two always look to each other for help and may the other one always look back to help. Your son is lucky to have you both as parents and so is your "Almost here" son, ( If you cant tell Sasha is pregnant with their 2nd son..)..

I had a lot of fun shooting this couple, for 2 reasons 1. They are so cute together, they still have that look and laugh at each other for no reason like they have some inside joke and no one else knows it.. ( although they kept whispering to each other and I personally think they were making fun of me.. lol ) and 2. They are really really really in love (and that always make for a great photo)

The Filimoeatu family live a very busy life with 2 young kids and both parents being in school (Snow College) one can only imagine how busy their schedules are. I applaud all who have kids and go to school at the same time.. (hey I applaud all that choose to go to school lol). I really hope daddy got the kids some candy, because he kept promising that to them and of course WE (meaning all the adults at the shoot) had none to our name.. What a beautiful wedding this turned out to be, when I first arrived in true wedding fashion everyone was running late, the bride (of course its her privilege to be lol), the photographer (ok so I arrived 15 minutes late, I couldn't find my keys), the decorator (when I got there I took it upon myself to put decorations up so it seemed like I'd been there for a long time.. lol) and from the mother of the grooms point of view she said they were 50 miles behind on everything else.. lol..
Once everyone and everything fell into place, what a breath taking event it was to watch the bride walk down the isle, a moment her now husband will cherish for a long time. The bride couldn't stop shaking and the groom couldn't stop smiling, but once the words "Husband and Wife" were said, all fears left them.
To the newly weds, May the Lord bless you both with the ability to make each other smile the way you both did on your wedding day... Thanks for allowing me to capture your beautiful day..

That is the case with the Tuiasoa family, the sons handsome, the daughters beautiful, the parents all of the above and then some.. lol.. I have known this family forever (well that's what it seems like).. The parents are such kind hearted (not sure the spelling) people you can only imagine how the kids have all turned out.. I can see a little bit of the parents in each of them, the way they laugh, smile and the way they treat each other and especially their spouses these siblings were raised with love, that you can tell... I have childhood memories with them, some good some WE ALL NEED TO FORGET (hint hint) and some brought us to such a laughter tears were coming out.. I love this family, thank you guys for such a wonderful afternoon its always good to get together with family...

David "Mom I lost my money."
Me "What money."
David "My money that you gave me, can you come bring me some money I'm here in Provo with no money mom and I'm hungry."
Me "David didn't you eat with the rest of the football camp kids?"
David "Yes, but I'm still hungry and they are ordering pizza, please mom can you come?"
Me "The younger kids have things to do and I cant come until later tonight when your dad gets home to stay with them."
David "Please please please please mom can you come right now."
That was the phone call I received while my son attended BYU football camp this year, and as would any mom my heart fell for his lil hungry cries (even though I knew he had eaten).. I called my husband and told him HIS son had called and needed some money and for him to leave work and go take him money, my husband of course responded he's fine and can wait until we go tomorrow, I hung up on him ( for those of you not married that's code for I'M MAD.. lol) 2 minutes later my husband called back and told me he called his friend that lives in Provo and him and his wife would run David some money... A short time after my son called and said "Oh thank you mom they brought it.."
And you all guessed it.. This is the family that ran and took money to my son David..
This story was just to show everyone the kind of family the Mounga family is.. ( I'm not sure if the sentence before this was grammar correct lol) I could never tell them how much I appreciate them for saving my sanity. I knew that I would of thought of nothing else except my son and getting him his money.. (by the way for those of you that know my son know that he really would of been fine without the money) yes my husband says I baby them to much.. lol..
Va congratulations on completing your schooling, what an example you are to us mothers who keep thinking it cant be done or that it would be to hard. You have set such an example to everyone.. And again THANK you for saving my sanity and easing my heart by taking money to a kid you had never met and for a mother you hadn't met yet... May the Lord be with you and your family as you enter a new chapter in your life, and may the students at BYU nursing know how lucky they are to have you as a teacher next semester...

There is something about a young new family... I love to watch them during the shoot, I see the daddy helping with the baby, I watch to see how much of a hold the baby has on them and trust me when I tell you this baby runs the house.. ha ha ha.. I love to watch the way the parents react to the baby when she cries or she starts to get fussy or something simple like "I'm done with this photo session.." You can see the relief in their eyes when they have figured out what it was she needed to make her happy..

After 2 cancels and then trying to find a place to shoot some casual shots, we finally made it.. Thanks to the mom of this beautiful family and her sharp eye for finding some fields and an abandoned house add all that up and what do you have.. you guessed it.. A family photo shoot.. Heck if you know me you know I will meet you anywhere. lol.. The Mounga family loved their Sunday attire photo session they wanted to try some in casual clothes and of course it went smoothly as the last one. Thanks mom and dad for raising some well behaved kids and making it easy for me sail through this one.. Enjoy..

The Iongi Family..

All the grandsons that were in attendance... Handsome boys..

What a beautiful family the Iongi's are, and they are so much fun. I think I laughed from the beginning to the end of the shoot (and I'm not kidding)..
Most of the Iongi's hail from Portland so during the whole shoot it was the Utah families trying to make the Portland families laugh and then vice versa I think a few times all families ended up waiting for me to stop laughing.. (note to self don't do that again.. lol)..
They are having a family reunion right now first with just their immediate family and next with the more extended families. And if you know Polynesian families extended can go on and on and on and on... lol.. Which means more laughing more pranks and more memories, that's what a reunion is all about though right..
Iongi family thank you for letting me capture your beautiful family, and thank you for the laughs this is one shoot that will go down in the memory book..

So you know with all the laughing there has to be some funny shots.. And here they are, I was dared by this young man underneath to post this photo, and he laughed thinking I wouldn't ... Well guess what Toni I did.. His family kept calling him "Buff Guy" and so he was telling them they were jealous so he looked at me and said "You guys mean like this," and he dropped one shoulder and started posing for camera, oh the roar of laughter that I got behind me the whole park was staring at us.. (not that they weren't watching us already, sorry other photographers quiet was not the name of this shoot.. lol)

I could not get these two brothers out of every ones else's pictures, they kept interrupting every ones photo's or they would be making faces behind me.. Then I turn around and they have their own camera and are taking pictures like this.. These two had me rolling..

The young boys had everyone entertained with mini numbers, so if you weren't being photographed you were entertained with the shows..

And of course I had to do a jumping shot.. I mean this family would do it right.. Right.. And we all know what I think of families that do the jumping shot for me, that's right... They are cool in my book. And trust me cool in my book is better then cool anywhere else.. hahahahaha

I have known the mother of this family I think my whole life.. I mean we go way back, like when we were both in pig tails and fluffy dresses back.. Yes that's how far back we go... lol
And just look at her now 8 beautiful kids a handsome husband and figure any women would die for.. (you already knew I was gonna throw that in Betty lol) I had so much fun with this shoot, the kids are so polite and so well behaved the shoot went pretty fast, I thought for sure it was going to take longer then it did, but it didn't. Every time I complimented one of the kids they smiled at me and would say "Thank you", and when they would ask if they could see the pictures on my camera they always said "Please". Wow Please and Thank You, Betty and Frank you both are doing something right, keep it up..

From day one when the mother of this family contacted me for this family I shoot I was excited, I knew this was gonna be (wow that's bad grammar) a fun shoot.. And boy was I right. A handsome husband, beautiful wife, and 3 handsome boys, I mean how could it not be a great shoot.. This is a sporty family volleyball, tennis and football for the boys.. I wont mention the football team because its the wrong one.. lol.. Just kidding Hunter Lil League is who the oldest son plays for we spoke about the rules for weight and how both our oldest sons would be a lineman for a long time, don't worry Hunter, the line is where the action is.. Without the line those running backs wouldn't get into the end zone.. lol..

As much as I've enjoyed all the senior photos I've been taking, trust me there is something in photographing young adults as they enter into the REAL world that puts a whole new light on things.. lol..
I can't tell you how excited I was to receive a call from this family for a photo shoot.. I love all the aspects of photography but for some reason my heart always goes back to family photos..
When I first saw all of them getting out of the car I thought to myself wow what a beautiful family, I hope they are the ones I'm shooting.. But I didn't see Kiki Anitoni she was the only one I knew I got out of my car and asked with a confused look "Are you guys with Kiki", then they answered "Yes".. Wow I thought "Yeah... And their good looking.." I know I talk to myself a lot.. Trust me its A lot.. lol

Class of 2010... Benjamin TJ Mapa

Benjamin Mapa is a senior at Hunter High School, home of the Wolverines. This is the first time I've met Benjamin when we first started our photo session, he seemed kinda nervous wondering if I'm weird or what.. I finally convinced him that I was probably going to be one of the coolest women (besides him mom of course) he was ever going to meet.. He couldn't stop laughing after that.. (I'm not sure if he was laughing at me or with me...lol)
Benjamin has a certain demeanor to him, he seems calm and very well raised (you did good Nia) but you can also tell he has the "LIFE OF THE PARTY" personality to him. I love the way he looks at his mom for approval, when I asked him questions about his life, what he wanted to do, what he aspired to be, every time he answered he looked at her just to see her smile. I can tell there is a strong mother/son bond its as if they share a secret or an inside joke and only they get it...
Benjamin will be attending the U of U after graduation while preparing to serve a full time LDS mission after that he will continue his education. I asked Benjamin if he was happy to be graduating he smiled, looked at his mom and said "Yes", I said "Your probably going to sleep the whole week after." He laughed nodded his head NO and said "There's lots to do after I have lots of plans."
Benjamin may you always have the attitude of "LOTS OF THINGS TO DO", and may nothing slow you down.. May you also take your mother along for the ride with you, and may you always look to her for approval because the things she approves of will always take you far in life..

Victoria is a senior at Highland High School, she is one of those over achievers you always here about.. lol.. You know the kind you swear your gonna be one of these days.. She plays basketball for Highland, and will be attending BYU Hawaii after graduation..
I have known Victoria for a long time, her mother and I are good friends.. (who cares that I married her relative, I knew her first before I married.. lol..) Victoria is loved by everyone she comes in contact with, even as a baby she was carried by everyone her mother had a hard time keeping track of her because everyone wanted her. I see she still has the same affect on people, when she showed up for her photo session she came with her own entourage.. A stylist, a cheer squad, a position boss (haha Maka), and of course her mother who still looks at Victoria like the world revolves around her, I can see it in her eyes..
Victoria may you know how many hearts you hold in the palm of your hand, and may you care that much in return for all of them.. May you understand how your smile, laughter and being affect your parents, your world is their world. Inoke Felila is a senior at Kearns High School, home of the cougars.. K-TOWN...
What a pleasure it has been to watch Inoke grow from a lil boy to a handsome young man. Inoke has many accomplishments in his young life, he is the oldest out of 10 kids and he is so helpful to his parents and to his younger brothers and sisters, he is an eagle scout, he is the starting left tackle on offense and also plays nose guard on defense, he holds multiple callings in his church, he volunteers at varies charities through out the community and he also is the most humble kid you have ever met.. When I asked him questions about himself he just laughs and says "Um OK.."
Inoke speaks highly of his family when he speaks. He's not your typical big brother when his little sisters come running to him, he smiles and talks to them, he's not rude like regular big brothers.. Just to watch him with family, friends and people in general you can tell there is something special about this kid.
Inoke will be attending the U of U after his graduation, and from there on the world better watch out.. Inoke thanks for always being an example to my sons on how to behave, it has been a pleasure watching you grow up when you hit it big I can say I knew you when...

Class of 2010... Noelini Tuiasoa

Noelini is a senior at City Honors High School, in Los Angeles, California.. (Inglewood to be exact, I know she wants me to put that..) when I asked her about her school, because I have been to Inglewood many times and have never heard of that school, she said it was fairly new and that you had to have a great GPA to get in.. I laughed and said "Oh so your one of those smart ones huh!" She laughed and replied "Oh no I have no IDEA how I got in." Noelini I just want you to know I don't believe you, just from spending the afternoon with you I could already tell your a smarty pants.. (Do they still say that..) lol..
Due to the fact that City Honors High School, is strictly an academic high school there are no sports programs offered there, therefore Noelini plays basketball for Inglewood High School, where she is their starting forward.. And just to answer you next question.. They did take STATE.. Wow how would that be.. Beautiful, Smart, and Athletic seems like a triple threat to me.. Noelini will be attending El Camino College after graduation, and then after that she will be conquering the world and then we will see her in the WNBA... The last part of that was just a prediction on my part but I got a 20 that says she will.... By the way can you start a paragraph with the word DUE.. My English teacher must be so proud..

Tema is a senior at Kearns High School... (K-Town...) Home of the mighty cougars..
I have known Tema for a very long time, since she was a little girl, I mean she is still a little girl but well you know what I mean..lol
Tema is a beautiful girl, as you can all see from her photos, Tema is an only daughter so she pretty much has her parents wrapped around her finger (don't tell her mom, she thinks she's in charge.. lol)Tema is so cute when her mom tells her NO she is a daddy's girl, she got a new car and it went out on her, when that happened daddy came to the rescue and got her a PT Cruiser.. See sometimes being a daddy's girl has its advantage.. lol.. When I asked Tema what she was going to do after high school, she stated that she would be attending a local college and go from there.. Tema seems to have things figured out for her life (man I wish I did at her age), she knows what she likes and she knows what she wants and she pretty much goes after it, she will go far in life with that attitude.
I love the way she laughs when she's smiling she crinkles her nose and lets it all out.... Tema I see only big things from you in the future, may the Lord guide you to it and may he bless you with always being a Daddy's girl..

Class of 2010... 'Ongohaangana Tana Vea

What an honor it was to have a photo session with this young man.. 'Ongohaangana Tana Vea (Tana is what he goes by) is a senior at Juan Diego High School. When I was first contacted by his mom to set up a session I was thrilled because I don't get a lot of boys, as you can tell from my previous posts, when I hung up my son said "Who's pictures are you taking." I said "Some kid he goes to Juan Diego last name Vea." My son "Tana Vea" I shook my head yes, he then corrected me and said "Mom he's the reason Juan Diego took state two years in a row, everyone knows him, he's one of the best running backs in Utah." So there you go Tana my son is one of your biggest fans, which kinda made me cool to him because I was asked to take your pictures.. haha
Tana comes from 2 big families on both the dad and moms side, he is well loved by both sides. I know why he is a very polite and well mannered young man and if you cant tell from the pictures above he is VERY good looking.. I kept telling him he is a handsome young man and his mom answered "Well of course he's my son." Tana would laugh and look at his mom I could tell they have a special relationship with her. (you know the kind that gets MC'Ds everyday after school).. When you see Tanas' mom talk about him, you cant miss the smile on her face that goes from ear to ear, she loves her son and it shows.
Tana will be attending Utah State University on a football scholarship. But if you ask Tana about football he will tell you "I only play because of my mom." and again you see the moms smile..
Tana may the Lord bless you as you open a new chapter of your life, may you keep your parents close to your heart, for you hold so much of theirs.. May you "DRIVE" yourself (inside joke) to USU and realize all the world has to offer you, I know that whatever it is you pursue in life you will succeed..

Some girls get the good looks, and some get the athleticism, some get the sparkling personality while others get the perfect height and characteristics from each of the parents.. I have finally met someone that got EVERY single good gene from both of her parents.. Vaitai and Pua, Maline took every good gene both of you had to offer and that's why she is absolutely perfect.. She has a kind heart, a sweet smile, a proper side and a goofy side to her, she has the girl next door look with one smile and a break your heart look with a different smile... Oh and before I forget she also can bump, set and spike like no body's business so don't try her on the volleyball court because that's one battle you wont win..
I love to watch Maline with her parents, her dad is her coach and she looks at him with strength and confidence she knows she can do what her dad is coaching her to do.. Her mom is her comforter and best friend she can make her laugh just by them looking at each other.. I love it.. She has a relationshop with each of them that works and you can tell her parents are her biggest fans.. The support and how proud they are of her shows in their face and in their voice when they talk about her..
Maline congratulations on your full ride scholarship, I know you've earned it. I see only big things in your future.. May the Lord watch over as you close a chapter of your life and begin a new one. And may you always remain close to your parents for they will never steer you wrong..

Class of 2010....Mounukiuoleva Finau

Mounukiuoleva Finau (she goes by Moe) is a senior at West High School, when I first met her she was kinda shy and wouldn't open up I did most of the talking (which I guess is normal for me.. lol).. I asked what kind of pictures she wanted like background, what her interest were, she started asking if I knew any graffiti places around here. I told her we could find some we would just drive around.. To our surprise we found a broken train with graffiti on it there was one downfall the sign said "Private Property Union Pacific employees only". We looked at each other and I said "We'll lets just hurry and take some shots near the train and when the police come we will act like we don't speak English". I finally got a laugh and she said "Serious" I said "Well your a minor and I don't speak English so whats the worst thing that could happen they tell us to get off, by then we'll have our shot". After that she opened up and the smiles were endless.
Moe started talking how she's an average student nothing real different about her, but let me tell you most average students don't take just 2 classes their senior year so there has to be something NOT average about her.. She loves art and just hanging out with her family, she cant wait for graduation and is excited about what will come for her next.. Moe I know what ever you do after graduation will be far from average, I can see it in your eyes, I can hear it in your moms voice when she talks about you it all points to the sky and beyond..
Moe your mom wanted to say "Congratulations to my little girl! Don't forget what I always tell you, beauty comes from the inside never the outside."
But dont worry Moe.. You have both.. Lucky..

I love photo shoots with Seniors, there is just something about them.. They have that whole "I can take on the world" attitude about them. It's very refreshing to watch them pose for the camera while they talk about their families, school, sports and everything else that is important to a senior.. (I know I've said it 100x's but hey whats one more right.. "Oh to be young again..")
Kaveinga (Kave is what she goes by) is one of the most talented volleyball players I've seen.. She plays for Club Union and has been highly recruited she has finally decided that she will be attending The University of Maryland Eastern Shore, oh and to make things more exciting did I mention she will be on a FULL ride scholarship, that's right you guessed it school, room & board, books and the most important thing meals will be paid for. When your away from your moms cooking FREE meals is a GOOD thing.. lol..
Kave may the Lord watch over you as you follow your dreams, and may your dreams lead you to bigger dreams..

There is something about a photo session with a bride that always makes me smile.. They have a glow and an Ora to them and I love to watch them transform.... When I first meet them they talk to me casually because they are usually in Levi's and a t-shirt and I get to know them, that way its easier for me to take the pictures that they will love for a lifetime. Once that is done they slip into a room and slip that DRESS on and when they step out its a whole new person, the walk is different the smile is different even the glances are different its the Cinderella story all over again. (except the whole evil step sister and fairy god mother part, but you know what I mean).. LOL
Loleta you are going to be a beautiful bride on your wedding day, when you enter the room no matter how many women are in attendance, you will be the ONLY women in the room.. The fun thing about taking Engagement photos is the fact that you get to see love in its prime.. Every time I do these kinds of sessions I think to myself "Oh to be young and in love"..
I have known this bride to be since she was in diapers... (Wow I just back dated myself..) Its so nice to see her all grown up and making grown up choices you can see the light in her eyes every time she looked at her husband to be.. Emma may you be blessed with always looking at your husband that way, and may he always respond to you looking at him with a smile that lights up every thing..
I asked the groom to be how they met and he responded they were in a wedding line and ended up being partners, he is from Laie, Hawaii, he said after he met Emma, Utah became home.. How sweet is that response.
May the Lord bless you both with forever.. May you always remember how you looked at each other and how you both couldn't take your eyes off of each other.. May you both always feel like the bride to be and the groom to be...

Have you ever met a family where you could tell they were meant to be together, they were meant to be a family long before the parents met.. That's how I felt about this family.. The weather was sooooo not on our side with this shoot, and we ran out and shot pictures when the snow and the wind would let up.. When the girls and I would run out to take just their pictures the way they talked about their parents and laughed you could tell there was something special between them all.. I got the same feeling when I took photos of the mom and girls and then when the dad was added to the picture.. Taniela and Lupe you should be so proud of your daughters for they speak highly of you both when your not around ( I hope my kids are like that.. NOT) lol.. When I finally got this whole family together for their group photo, just the way they laughed and looked at each other as if I wasn't there, told me they had known each other for a long time..
Thanks Lupe (by the way Ive known Lupe since our two families were 2 of the 3 only poly families living in Kearns... K- Town... lol..) for letting me capture your beautiful family... Oh and good luck with the girls when they get older, if you need help remember I have a lot of sons that can come over and play body guard... Love you guys..

The Lapuaho family... What can I say.. What a pleasure it was to meet your lovely family and capture moments for you to keep.
We had to cancel once due to weather I didn't want them driving up from Ephraim, Utah just to face snow, so we rescheduled for the next day, then the following night I get a call from the dad to see if the weather is good or should we reschedule again, I told him its suppose to be great weather but it was up to them, he told me he would talk to his wife and call me back, I hung up thinking I hope they don't cancel.. Not more then 2 minutes the wife called me back say she wanted to go ahead with the shoot if that was ok with me, I told her of course and we planned to meet the next morning.. After we hung up, I started to laugh thinking husbands and pictures don't mix but to keep the wife happy, husbands will show up with their best smile.. hahaha..
This beautiful family is currently attending Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.. The father is currently playing rugby for Snow and is going to school to become a Pharmacist.. When I asked them how they met, they both looked at each with a smile in their eye and both started telling the same story as if it happened yesterday.. Oh to be young and in love.. They love it at Snow their only complaint was sometimes they couldn't find their son because he is the only baby around everyone wants him.. ( looks like you've got a ladies man on your hands good luck to you)..

Meet Sione Kauvaka aka Johnny, Nani it all depends on who's calling him.. High school senior at Rancho Cucamonga High School, home of the cougars.. This is one of the most humble boys I've known, and I've known him for most of his life. I've seen him grow from a baby, to a young boy, to a young man and cant wait to see what life holds for him next.. Johnny is the oldest out of 6 kids, 5 boys and 1 lil princess, when Johnny flew in for his pictures I asked him how his baby sister was doing and he said with a smile, she's getting smarter and smarter everyday.. I see the sister has him wrapped around her lil finger. Johnny takes the older brother job very seriously he is always helping with the younger siblings and still has time to play Defensive Lineman for his varsity football team last year they took State and this year they lost in the semi finals.. Still a great season.. I asked him his favorite subject in school and he answered Lunch.. Favorite thing to do when bored, A: Hang out with cousins (there is a lot of them).. Favorite position to play in Football, A: Water boy (not).. What were his plans for after graduation, A: Get ready to go on a mission (good answer)..
Johnny its has been an honor seeing you grow up all these years into the gentleman that you are today, may you reach all the goals you have set for yourself, and may you always be the son and the big brother you mom raised you to be...

When I first was contacted about taking pictures for a 1st birthday party I thought sure, no problems, I mean really some cake and ice cream and a few friends, this is going to be easy.. Boy was I wrong, this party is what dreams are made of.. I mean this is the party all my kids dream about, you know the one parents tell their kids some day I'll throw you one of THOSE parties.. lol.. Rome what can I say..... THANK you for inviting me ( I mean your mother of course)... Your parents rock, your birthday rocked, but then again when your birthday party includes clowns, Mickey and Minnie mouse, carnival games, a clown on stilts, a unicycle, face painter, magician, a juggler, enough candy to go home with it will last you a whole year, live DJ, live music by Ray Leger and Jackson County oh and I don't want to leave out the party gift bags that has enough Disney stuff in it my daughter thought I was the best mom in the world when I brought her one.... And believe it or not that was not all that birthday party included... I could literally go on and on and on about this party..

Introducing Baby Lautala Fangupo the 3rd child BUT 1st daughter to Ova and Monica Fangupo.. When I first got to the photo shoot her mom asked me what should she put on her daughter to wear, I told her anything you want, she walked into the room and came back with a closet full of clothes that were the babies, and were brand new.. I thought wow 2 weeks old and already a closet full of clothes.. Needless to say she is well loved. I doubt her feet will ever touch the ground.
She is in the famous wrap her up tight stage so there wasn't much we could do without the blanket, and of course after you wrap them they fall asleep.. But then again when your the boss you can fall asleep anytime you want.. haha

Fondest memory of her...
Young Women Camp at Lake Arrowhead, all of us leaders where in a meeting, while the girls were in workshops.. when an announcement came through that we all should go back to our girls someone had played a prank on one of the cabins and had made a mess of things toilet paper everywhere and just left a big mess, as I stood up from the meeting I looked at the door and their stood one of my beehives crying and waving for me to come to her, I looked at another leader from our ward and said.. Walk quickly I think it was our girls.. At the end of the day our girls ended up cleaning it up and admitted to playing a prank on them. It was all in camping fun and no harm was done..
Yvonne I'm glad to see that from that little beehive crying in the doorway, you have turned out to be a strong mother of 4, watching you interact with them I know you are a great mother.. Dont worry your wild days at YW camp secrets are safe with me.. (and anyone else that reads my blog)...

Introducing the family of the late Eneasi and Silia Toki. Although the father of the family has passed on his spirit lives through his wife, children, grandchildren and yes even great grandchildren. The children all threw a surprise birthday party for their mom so they thought what a great time to get together and have family pictures taken. Some of the siblings are from California so going outside was a crazy idea, I told them this is still T-shirt and shorts weather they looked at me in amazement.. I had so much fun with this family but like I always say its easy to shoot em when they are all looking good..

What can I say about this family.... Hmmmm.. We had so much fun shooting that the laughs never stopped.. lol.. The older son Tanner is going through his I'm COOL stage so making him laugh was a struggle. I ended up reminding him that I'm COOL so it was Ok to smile for me.. Guess what it worked.. The Leituala Family

I have known the Leituala family for what seems like forever.. And its been a great forever.. Merv (the dad) was my oldest son Davids lil league football coach from the age of 8. He got stuck with the job of showing US (meaning ME) the proper way to put the football pads on in his pants, who knew the knee pads went in the knees... hahahaha.. Now I'm a pro..
Merv and Julie have such a beautiful family and such well behaved kids.. Their kids are the kids that you tell your kids they can hang out with.. Did that make sense? They are such a busy family, all of the kids are involved in at least 2 things each during the whole year.. The oldest son plays football for Kearns, if you don't recognize him, you'll probably recognize him from the back, he's the one running past you and getting into the end zone... GOOOO FOAI... so talented and yet so humble, that's how all the kids are. You can tell they come from great parents who lead by example..

A BIG thank you to Merv for taking my son and putting him on the "A" team when he was 8.. I will never forget the day he came running out of the group meeting yelling "Mom, Mom, Mom I made the "A" team" and me looking all confused asked if that's a good team and Julie coming to my rescue and explaining the WHOLE splitting of the team. I'm glad I didn't know that beforehand I would of been a nervous wreck..

The Tupoumalohi Family

Usually when I shoot a family there is a certain time slot allotted for it.. Oh say at least an hour for small families more if its a big family.. I am pleased to say I shot this in 20 minutes .. And No I'm not kidding. Sarah needed some updated photos of her family and she needed them quick I mean 2 day notice type of quick. Between our busy schedules and our kids busy schedules the only time we had was after our kids football games and before another BIG shoot of mines, on Saturday.. I met them at the park at 5pm (but they didn't show up till 5:10pm.... Husbands have no sense of time when it comes to photo sessions.. haahaha) we had a quick photo session and I was in my car on my way to the other location by 5:30pm.. I think the photo session turned out NICE real nice, but when you've got a beautiful family any photo session is going to turn out nice.. Sarah I'm glad we were able to get some new family photos for you, you have a beautiful family.. Let me know when we can have a REAL session..

I was blessed to have Julie (the oldest daughter of this beautiful family) ask me to capture some memories for her family, which included her mother and her brothers and sister and all their spouses and children. I have known Julie for what seems like forever now, and we have grown to be great friends (even though she went to Granger and I went to Kearns she is totally forgiven because her boys play for Kearns High and lil league so she is now a full true COUGAR).. Thanks for a great Saturday evening I now know why their kids are so great, they learn from the example of ALL the adults in their lives, grandma, mom, dad, uncles and aunts you can tell the bond between this family is unbreakable..
Oh and one last thing... GOOOOOO Foai.....

I've been taking a small break from photo sessions, life has the photographer in me on a small pause.. Football season is upon us and nothing takes up ALL our time like football season. With 3 sons and 1 nephew playing we are ON (literally) the field everyday.. So I've been practicing my sport shots getting pictures of my kids and nephew.. I love when I get that perfect shot of them.. And trust me the boys like it to.. lol.. So here's to all you mothers/sisters/aunties who have to sit at football practices, games and meetings whether it be in the sun, rain or snow.. You are the best..

Meet the lovely and very talented Misinale family.. I can not tell you how much I love this family. This is a family I've known from waaayyy back in the days, you know when hot pink and hot yellow was the IN color to wear... Every time I see them I'm quickly reminded about how fast time flies..
The MOM of this amazing group is wonderful, she tells it like it is and there is no if, ands or buts about it.. (she reminds me of my mom, they must be related.. lol). She is truly the glue that holds this family together (like a mom is suppose to be).. These grand kids are so lucky to have a grandma that is so active in their lives, she is one of the best I can tell you that.. Each and every one of them have a great relationship with each other, they are all so close the sisters work together and they support each other with everything they each have a great relationship with their brothers I can see it when they interact with each other, its to the point where you cant tell who the in laws are and who the original siblings are thats how close they all are..

The best thing about having triplets is... You get 3 daddy's girls.. Gotta love that..

I have known this couple for a long time (the mom her whole life)... You know this couple is cool, just by looking at them, and you have to look back at them 3X's to get the whole affect of the family.. How would it be triplets.. These girls ALWAYS look cool in what their wearing, their momma makes sure of that... I mean its hard to find boots like those, but to find them in 3's you are amazing.. This family is one of the most giving families I know, they would do anything for each other and for a friend.. The triplets have learned it from their parents, who lead not only with words but by example.. They remind everyone that they married their best friend and it shows in the way they interact with each other and their daughters.. John and Sia Satini have a loving relationship with both each other and their children. With only 1 daughter it is easy to tell who the princess of the family is.... Don't worry Sia I can tell who the QUEEN of the family is also. The kids are so well behaved they actually come the first time their parents call them..(How would it be... lol) I love the way John admires his wife and speaks highly of her to everyone, she on the other hand still looks at him like she did the day they were married.. (and they both still look as young)

Samson & Mahea Pouha....

This past week was a MINI family reunion for my family.. Samson is my older brother, he and his family came down for a week.. We love it when they visit.. This couple is so much fun, they love each other as much as they love their children.. I love the dedication they have to each other they love and support each other in every aspect of their lives.. Samson is a professional boxer and Mahea supports him in his long hours at the gym, while Mahea has returned to school and is attending University of Phoenix Samson supports her with the long hours of homework.. They both love and care for their two children they are teaching them not only in words but by example that anything is possible as long as you put your heart and mind to it.. I love this family..

His friends say "There's a girl you really should meet.. I can give you her number."
Her friends say "I know this boy, I think he's the one for you."
They were both so busy with their lives that they ignored everyone, he wanted to ask for her number on his own, and she wasn't REALLY looking.. (you know NOT looking, but looking.. lol) After several attempts of friends and families they finally gave in, and met each other for a 1st date.. Who knew that the next morning he would be asking for permission to DATE her (there is something about asking for permission that has a Romantic Feel to it).. From then on fate as we know it worked her magic..
I love to shoot engagement sessions, I love to watch young couples in love interact with each other the way they look at each other and smile, like they are the only two people in the world.. What a beautiful family... Can you believe this is a Finau family and they are NOT related to my husband (I thought only the Smiths, Johnsons, and Hansens had that problem.. lol).. After getting off to a late start (thanks Sia for the wrong directions...lol) things went pretty smoothly, this family is very polite and the kids are well mannered, they listened to directions and every family shot went pretty quickly.. I love those kinds of shoots.. As you can see the Finau Family is very beautiful, I could feel the love they all have for one another as I watched them transact with each other, the younger taking care of the their elder, the way cousins play with each other turning everyone into their brother and sisters.. Cottonwood High Luau

When I got a phone call and was asked to come and shoot this Luau for Cottonwood High Football team, I was so excited to.. It gave me a reason to play with my camera. A show and Dinner for a good cause and I get to take pictures, what else does a person want.. LOL..
Let me tell you I had NO idea how big the event was going to be, I got their late (story of my life) and started shooting inside the auditorium because the show had started already, walked past a ton of stuff going on in the cafeteria area thought to myself there must be something else going on also.. After shooting inside, asked my cuz Rita whats next and she goes on with a whole list of stuff if I've shot outside the basket drawings, the food, the band, the kids dancing I look at her and go oh thats part of it too.. (Note to self ask someone about the event before I show up)
What a great community of support this school has, I was amazed and very impressed with the amount of support both from families and the community.. The food was great the entertainment great the band great and the photographer SLOW.. Next time I will up my game, I promise..

G.I.F.T.E.D Football Camp

We (actually my boys I tagged along) attended the neatest camp this past weekend.. It was called G.I.F.T.E.D.. Put together by former and current NFL football players. The camp was great, well organized and brought our Polynesian youth kids together in a way it should always be.. They were taught things on the field as well as in the classroom, showing the kids that one can not be accomplished without the other. It was good to see the youth learning, laughing and playing together and acting like we were ALL related.. (even though I think we are.. LOL).. Thank you Reno Mahe, Deuce Lutui and Fahu Tahi for an unforgettable football camp.. Oh and I cant forget the members of PALE and HYPE for the unlimited hours of volunteer work put towards this camp.. Cant wait til next year..

Tefua and Kauata Bloomfield plus 9

I have known the parents of this beautiful family FOREVER.. The mom Kauata is a K-Town girl although she has converted over to Hunter High, we forgive her because her husband played there and ALL her boys play for them now.. (We forgive you Kauata because we know K-Town is in your heart..LOL) This was probably the easiest family to shoot, and Yes they have 9 kids.. Fua took control of the shoot and started setting everyone up from the beginning.. (I'll talk to you later about that Fua.. LOL) .. The boys are as athletic and handsome as daddy, and the girls are as caring and gorgeous as momma ..

Thomas Satini is an upcoming STAR.. Remember his name everyone..
Thomas loves to write songs, poems and short stories he is an amazing street/hiphop dancer, he sings, acts and plays the guitar and drums and football... But all this comes 2nd to his love of art.. His goal is to write/produce music.. Right now he is pursing his acting career (because his mama says to) LOL.. All of this and he is still a straight A student..
Coming from a single parent home Thomas has taken on the role as the MAN of the house, and trust me he can handle it all, he is very calm in nature, and will triumph through everything life has in store for him.. Thank you Thomas for allowing me to see your talent first hand and to take pictures of you as you begin your journey to a goal that only YOU can reach..

I have not been shooting a lot due to the "illness" that hit our whole house.. Now that, that's all behind us I wanted to shoot.. Lucky for me this Beautiful girl Utu Bloomfield just received her cap and gown.. ( I know Beautiful just doesn't cut it) .. Oh to be young again.. LOL. Thanks for fitting me in girl I know your busy with graduation a day away, and the rest of your life after that. May you reach all your goals that you have set for yourself and may you make a BIG mark on the world while your reaching them..

Introducing Amanda Filiaga of Pocatello Id...

Amanda is the oldest daughter of Ivor and Teuila Feliaga (I'm not kidding when I say they should write a book on HOW TO RAISE KIDS).. She attended Highland High in Pocatello Id last year and had a busy year, she played Volleyball and Basketball, she was president of the Poly Club and 1st Runner up for homecoming queen, she was member of the H-club all four years there (sports club).. She is now attending College of Southern Idaho and is a member of the Golden Eagles volleyball team. She wants to get into Interior design, she loves art (athletic, beauty and brains I'm totally jealous).. Oh and I forgot the most important part.. She loves long walks on the beach... (She told me to put that.. Just kidding Ivor.. calm down..) LOL.. Amanda is what you call The ALL American girl (lets face it both sisters are).. When I grow up I want to be just like her.. LOL.. Congratulations on ALL your accomplishments Amanda, no wonder Emma is great, she had a great BIG sister to look up to..

Emma is as talented and humble as she is beautiful. I've known Emma and her family for a while now and every time I see her or talk to her she simply amazes me, you can tell she was raised well. Her parents Ivor and Teuila should write a book.. This girl has had a busy senior year (that's the best kind of year right?) she was on the Volleyball, Basketball and Track team place 1st team All State for Volleyball and Basketball. (wow) She is also involved in the Poly club and H-club. She also sings, dances and plays the piano.. But wait I'm not done.. She was crowned Jr prom queen her Jr year and.. you guessed it She was crowned Homecoming Queen for Highland High '08-'09. She will be attending Dodge City Community College in Kansas where she will be playing Volleyball.. Good luck in reaching ALL your goals Emma I'm sure you don't need it.

When I shot them single, they all gathered around and made fun of the one I was shooting some of them took several minutes to STOP laughing, when I told them I had a good one of them smiling they said NO that they needed one of them NOT laughing because we just don't laugh.. These boys are some real cool kids. Every single one of them has several talents that posting them all would be a novel.. But here are just a few the 1st picture in this group is the Student Body President of Kennedy Jr High, and he also holds one of the highest GPA in the school and has held that honor for all 3 of his Jr High years, several of these boys were on the UNDEFEATED wrestling team, some played on the Volleyball team, some of them played for the High School football team, besides doing all of that they manage to be some of the coolest kids at school.. These girls were so much fun, to shoot.. Imagine a bunch of teenager girls in front of a camera.. Yea that's what I thought too, but that wasn't the case, these girls started out shy... What? I know weird... LOL.. But they warmed up after a bit and then the shoot was easy from then on.. I wish I could bottle their TAKE ON THE WORLD attitude and sell it, millions I'm telling you millions.. What an energetic group of kids.. These kids are blessed with so much talent and so much "Take on the word" attitude, that its contagious. Between the whole trying to look cute for the photos and trying to look cool in front of their friends, this shoot was fun. The kids had so many poses they wanted to do, but when the camera turned on they froze. Too funny. Good luck with everything that you pursue in life I'm sure High School has no idea what their getting..

Have you ever meet a group of people for the first time, and within a few seconds felt like you've known them your whole life....Meet the Aumua family.. Sunshine called and asked for a photo session for her whole family they would be in town for a baptism, I agreed I love to shoot big groups. After a few scheduling mishaps we finally met at 10:00pm.. That's right I said 10:00pm.. I found a place to fit that many people on short notice (thank you Hampton Inn) and a shoot began.. This family is so funny and so kick back you could not tell it was that late. The kids are so well behaved that changing from group to group was not a problem (apparently they are scared of Auntie Sunshine LOL).. The Aumua family introduced me to the real "kick back" feeling that you get from being raised in Hawaii. Sunshine, thank you for letting me meet your beautiful family.

The Tongolei Family.....

This was a very special shoot for me.. Not because the MOM of this little family is my beautiful little sister Christina, or because her 3 boys are my cute nephews this shoot had a whole different reason for being special, my brother in law David Tongolei is being called to serve his country in Iraq, he will be leaving this Friday for 16 months. I can not tell you all how much his family will miss him, David is the best husband, daddy, son, brother, brother in law, uncle, coach, scoutmaster and friend to all who know him. He is loved so much he just had 4 different "parties" thrown for him this past weekend: Work, Scouts, Lil League Football team and Christinas family. David and Christina have a special love for each other, they have been married for 10yrs and they still act like they are dating (oh how would it be).. They both hold a special bond with their 3 boys and you can see it when they are all together. David thank you so much for all you do for my family, and for being my boys #1 fan at all their sporting events. May the Lord bless you David and your family and watch over you as you answer the call to serve our country and defend our freedom. We love you uncle David...
